Description: About 2 1/2 years ago, my ex-girlfriend burst into my room and told me she wanted to record this song. At the time, "I'm Wide Awake It's Morning" was still a long ways off, and Conor had only performed this live and solo in concerts. At the time, (and still) I thought this was the best love song I'd heard since Wonderwall, and I still think it's a modern day classic. It's me playing guitar, and my ex singing, and even though she had no training, and this was one of the first things she ever sang, something about her voice sounds so simple and sweet. Had Youtube, or Facebook, or Myspace or any of those type of sites existed back then, I would have put this up in a second. Truth be told, I like this cover a LOT more than some of the covers I've seen on here. And so, I figured it was worth sharing and some people might get something out of it. The slideshow is pictures of me with friends from highschool and college, and some family. Enjoy! |
