Description: Severe Thunderstorms moved across the southern 2/3 of the Miami Valley and they were sure severe! I clocked an estimated gust of 65MPH at my home in Northeastern Montgomery County. I also seen a nice lowering of the cloud base about a mile to my north and right after that happened, the power went out for three hours and a tornado warning was issued for Clark County. I lost all video due to the power outage but my friend who lives in Athens, OH was nice to snap some radar shots from the NWS web site. I would also like to thank the NWS Wilmington webmaster for sending me the final two screen shots from Tuesday nights severe weather |

Lissical ::: Favorites I remember this storm! I'm in SW Dayton, OH and we had a lot of hail, wind, thunder and lightening and a severe thunderstorm warning. So scary but incredible. 07-09-09 17:40:08 __________________________________________________
Spajeoly ::: Favorites The voice is that of AT&T's TTS Natural Voices. Very kick ass TTS engines. I have been playing with it for years. Google for it "AT&T TTS" 07-06-06 04:26:47 __________________________________________________
TheFritter04 ::: Favorites If you can encode, you can load those voices to your PC and have warnings broadcasted that way in home. 07-08-17 13:05:10 __________________________________________________
The1ne07 ::: Favorites i wanna keep our guy's voice onour EAS 07-05-20 16:16:11 __________________________________________________
scooterbugs25 ::: Favorites WOW..did that NWS Voice broadcast the clear and crisp? 07-05-18 00:12:32 __________________________________________________
TheFritter04 ::: Favorites No. What you hear in this clip is from MY program that receives warnings from the national weather service when my power goes down. My computer has one hour backup battery power so I can at least keep track of warning data during the event. 07-05-18 02:04:55 __________________________________________________
TheFritter04 ::: Favorites Yes there was a brief EF-0 touchdown right by the lake 3 miles northeast of Springfield. When I saw the beginning of the storm taking tornadic shape in Montgomery county, never crossed my mind to call it in! I was too occupied with getting people on the phone and figuring out where things were. 07-05-17 20:34:43 __________________________________________________
statboy08 ::: Favorites Wow I like the new voices for the NWR. It'll probably take a few years to get that out here in California. 07-05-17 18:19:56 __________________________________________________
iMovieFreak3891 ::: Favorites Is that one of the new NWR voices? We still have the older one. This one sounds like an actual person. Cool. What program is that (the orange-ish looking one)? 07-05-17 16:05:28 __________________________________________________
TheFritter04 ::: Favorites That voice is a system I have on my battery backup PC... The orange program is the National Weather Service system. 07-08-17 13:02:58 __________________________________________________ |
