Comic book superhero superman batman wonder woman jla spider-man x-men spawn comics marvel world war 9/11
Description: At the end of the seventies, the seriousness of comic books returned with the released of the two Superman movies which are box office successes. But three years prior, with the biz of the upcoming films, artist Neal Adams brought Siegel & Shuster back to DC Comics to make amends. With his help, their byline was restored on the Superman comics. But by the seventies, Superman wasn't entirly popular as that title went to the X-Men. And by the eighties, it was a then call for a darker hero. This is where newcomer Frank Miller comes in and starts his carear. First, he takes over and brings Daredevil to popularity, then he challenges his notion of non-lethal justice by reviving The Punisher. |

theAstud ::: Favorites 2007-12-12 13:36:37 Miller is probably the best writer in comics __________________________________________________
theAstud ::: Favorites 2007-12-12 13:32:57 Yeah He's the only hero that doesnt wear a mask and yet nobody knows he's clark kent, very corny. Im suprised that people can still write stories about an invulnerable superhero who wears underwear over his tights. Bloodsport and Doomsday 2 only good thing to come out of superman. __________________________________________________

patshirisji ::: Favorites 2007-11-12 15:08:05 I agree, besides I think it is not fair to write at the credits the scripter first, I think the penciler and inker should be go first and later the plotter, since comics without pictures is....nothing!!! __________________________________________________
sageeagle ::: Favorites 2007-11-03 03:40:07 And comic books limpped on ever since! __________________________________________________
Ruff15 ::: Favorites 2007-10-24 13:20:07 Storm has a fanbase, like many other heroes and heroines. Storm was one of the first black comic book characters, and the first black female, to play either a major or supporting role in comics. So she has some reconigzation. __________________________________________________

corrosivecabal ::: Favorites 2007-09-29 20:18:45 not true, back then, Stan Lee went to his artists for ideas. When the galactus was introduced, all Stan had as a plot was "FF Vs God" Jack came up with galatus and silver surfer. the same is true for the hulk and nearly anything else the 2 worked on, stan had as much say as jack. Stan Lee took Kirby's ideas into consideration cause they were good, and didn't dismiss them cause he was "just some artist", this was before stan lee lost his mind and whored out his comics. __________________________________________________
