xexorz ::: Favorites 2008-01-25 22:03:12 Dams silt up. But they provide head water... A long pipe could do the same thing I guess... perhaps thats what they are gonna do... no clue how to get that much power without any headwater... physics doesn't work. __________________________________________________
charbar203 ::: Favorites 2008-01-21 21:33:57 The piece siad it could be SCALED to 100KW's. __________________________________________________
albertapark ::: Favorites 2008-01-11 02:16:19 with my 12" pelton wheel driven by 1/2 to 4 cfs I generate from 12kw to 75kw at 300 ft head, 130psi. it's all physics: head in feet times cfs divided by 8.8 = theoretical horsepower (x .6 = kw) __________________________________________________
GENsource ::: Favorites 2008-01-01 06:41:29 It takes about 2.5 horsepower to produce 1 kilowatt of electricity. In the video you mentioned that the system could produce 100 kw. Please explain how a turbine of this size could produce enough horsepower to turn a generator head of that size. I am not concerned about rpm's because that is easy to step up, but I do not understand how your turbine could produce enough horsepower with such a small amount of water flow. Please reply. __________________________________________________
