niallguitar 2008-04-11 19:47:57 He is using palm muting. Just lay the heel of your hand gently on the strings at the bridge. In the intro he is using fairly little distortion/gain. The treble isn't particularly high, you can set the EQ to taste because it will always be different because you have a les paul, try using the bridge pickup( or both together) and hit the strings fairly hard. __________________________________________________
guesswhoisthis101 2008-04-11 04:03:50 hey can someone please tell me how can i get the palm mutting sound he has at the intro. If i mute my strings, it doesnt sound that sharp like steve. Or did he even mute his strings while playing the intro? or is the treble set to really high? im really new at guitar here but keen to learn it. Hows the amount of settings for his distortions, bass, treble, mid, all these kinda things? Could someone good please help me? I am using a les paul btw =) __________________________________________________

phoquemyope 2008-03-22 17:37:27 This was right after Steve had taken some time off to become a commercial pilot. Take a look at the cover of "High Tension Wires," and you'll see his hair even shorter. Luckily he's now making enough that he won't have to do anything crazy like cutting his hair short again. __________________________________________________
hjorthan 2008-03-20 15:26:07 what the hell???!!! WHY DID YOU CUT YOUR HAIR?????? nice version by the way...:P __________________________________________________ |
