Description: I was having some trouble playing Playstation games on my PS2, so I figured I'd clean it. I recorded a part of it for demonstration and took some pics of the process. How to clean your PS2. MATERIALS REQUIRED: - Q tip - Rubbing Alcohol - Phillips type screwdriver - Optic screwdriver To disasemble the PS2 console, remove the rubber footings on the bottom of the console from each of the corners by prying them off. Then remove all the screws under them and slowly lift up on the top part of the PS2. Then, remove the screws on the top part of the CD tray; be very careful with this as it is a very sensitive part of the console unit. This can save you from a costly repair simply with some rubbing alcohol and a Q-tip. You can also clean the fins on the other part of the console, just be careful that you don't use alot of rubbing alcohol as this may short out the circuitboard inside. Enjoy your PS2 once again!!11 |
